About UsMDWID is located in the pleasant rural community of Mayer, approximately 20 miles south of Prescott Valley, AZ, off of Highway 69. The population of this unincorporated community is 1450 people. The water system was privately owned before it became an improvement district (MDWID) on May 14th, 1990. The District boundary includes most of the the town of Mayer and areas in Poland Junction.

Water Delivery System Installed in 1959The water distribution system used by MDWID was privately owned by the Mayer Water Company, Inc. before the formation of the MDWID began in May, 1990. The process was finalized with Yavapai County Arizona in 1993.
