JOB POSTING - OPEN POSITION 
Field Operator Part-time

Job Summary
The Field Operator is responsible for daily maintenance and repairs within the water distribution system.
Job Responsibilities
  • All employees are responsible for daily inspections of facilities
  • Perform a variety of field service duties including but not limited to: completing repairs on water lines ranging from 3/4" to 8" in size, meter inspections, maintenance, and customer service tasks related to the water distribution system
  • Ability to use or be trained on computer/ tablets
  • Maintain good communication with team members and management alike
  • Ability to perform well in a team setting
  • Availability for after-hours and emergency call-outs / leak repairs
  • Outstanding customer service capabilities
  • Investigate unusual reading and customer complaints regarding high bills; odd taste and odor of water; pressure-related issues; re-read meters as necessary; resolve issues or request work orders for follow-up
  • Report inoperative or damaged meters, bypassed meters, and related problems
  • Prepare service requests as necessary
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Ability to use hand tools proficiently, including but not limited to: pipe wrenches; poly cutters; copper cutters; channel locks; crescent wrenches
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools employed in the general operations of engines, pumps, and related equipment; general maintenance work; safe work practices; basic biological and chemical principles
  • Experience with operating water tanks, booster pumps, wells, compliance sampling, pneumatic tanks and meter reading.
  • Operate Vac Trailer
  • Maintain equipment and vehicles
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or G. E. D. is required
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Ability to pass a drug screening
  • 1 year of experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual.
  • Ability to be on-call, work weekends and possible overtime
  • Backhoe operator experience (not required)
  • CDL or willingness to obtain a CLD

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Working environment mostly involves working outdoors, will be exposure to typical Northern Arizona weather conditions. Proper environmental attire will be required.
  • Exposure to loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, pathogens, and various chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, twist, and bend at the waist, turn, kneel, squat, raise arms above shoulder height, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements and fine coordination to work on equipment, have vision sufficient to service equipment
  • Ascend and descend stair steps,
  • Lift objects up to 50 pounds from floor level to waist height,
  • Wear and use appropriate safety equipment
  • Ability to perform continuous physical labor
Experience
  • Grade 1: Water Treatment & Distribution Certification: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Hours Very: Typically Monday thru Friday 7:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
  • 10 paid holidays a year
  • 24 hours of sick pay
  • Earn up to 24 hours of vacation pay
  • All candidates must pass a background check and drug test.
  • References Required
  • 90 day probation period
  • Salary depends on experience and qualifications.​
JOB POSTING - OPEN POSITION
Office Clerk - Part-time

Job Summary
Customer service, data entry, some field work.

Job Responsibilities 
  • Answering phone calls
  • Taking payments over the phone and in person 
  • Entering in payments 
  • Setting up new accounts 
  • Entering monthly meter readings 
  • Finalizing accounts 
  • Reviewing emails and responding when necessary 
  • Filing documents accurately 
  • QuickBooks, creating and printing checks in QuickBooks and running payroll biweekly.
  • Available to attend monthly board meetings
  • Prepare accurate minutes from the board meetings for public record 
  • Understanding open meeting laws 
  • Keep the office clean 
​Additional Possible Job Responsibilities 
  • Willingness to take a turn in the rotation to be on call Friday – Thursday, which includes doing rounds on Saturday and Sunday morning checking the system.
  • Work in the field reading meters, helping repair water leaks, which could include some or all of this, digging a hole, repairing the leak, getting parts needed for the repair or holding slowdown/stop sign while work is being performed.
  • If you have a CDL or backhoe experience you may be required to run equipment.  

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or G. E. D. is required
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a drug screening
  • Computer skills such as Word, Excel, Gmail, Outlook Calendar, data entry and experience with filing and organization skills.
  • Self-motivated, ability to multitask, be able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Good customer service in person and over the phone.
  • Preferred experience but not required for the position: QuickBooks, accounting such as accounts receivable and payable, experience creating fiscal year budgets, processing payroll. Bilingual
Experience
  • One year office experience
